Discovery
Founded in 2017, Graffwerk commissioned me to design their first hardback book, documenting street art projects delivered across the UK, including Bring The Paint. The book was conceived primarily as a strategic product, created to showcase the scale and credibility of their work to investors and potential clients. During discovery, we defined it as both portfolio and proof point. It needed to demonstrate capability, cultural impact and organisational maturity, while retaining the authenticity of the street art scene.
Design
The creative route prioritised clarity and function. Large-format imagery led the narrative, supported by a disciplined grid, a bold typographic cover, and a restrained type system. The structure kept the artwork central, allowing the work itself to take centre stage. Flagship projects such as Bring The Paint were given expanded features, combining environmental photography, artist portraits and contextual insights. The pacing balanced high-impact spreads with documentary detail, reinforcing both creative ambition and operational scale.
Delivery
The final outcome was a premium hardback publication, produced with durable materials and refined finishing to position it as a serious investment document. The book now functions as a key business development asset. It supports funding conversations, strengthens client pitches and formalises Graffwerk’s track record, turning a body of work into a tangible strategic tool.
